Before 2018, Canada had a CES study abroad policy. Unlike the usual long-term study abroad program, the CES study abroad program has more advantages for international students.
However, in 2018, the Canadian government decided to replace the CES study abroad program with the SDS stream. Instead of limiting the number of 55 schools on the CICan list as before, international students can now apply for admission to all schools in the education system in Canada. Visa processing time is also faster than before, from 60 days to only 45 days.
However, the SDS-Canadian student visa also considers students with a higher entry score, English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0. The SDS visa also retains many requirements for international students from the old CES visa, such as students needing to pay one year of tuition in advance, a Scotiabank deposit of 10,000 CAD (equivalent to 175 million VND), medical examination before studying abroad. and have a clear study plan and criminal record. As can be seen, the SDS visa category has many choices of schools and faster application processing time without having to follow a complicated financial verification process.
Conditions for applying for a Canadian student visa

Study Permit (Study Permit)
A study permit does not have the same travel effect as a visa. However, this is an important document that allows international students to study at educational institutions in Canada. To apply for a study permit, students need to prepare documents including:
